After having to spend almost all of 2020 in lockdown, our dogs have just started back out in the ring and what a start it has been.

5th and 6th December 2020 Adelaide Plains Kennel & Obedience Club All Breeds Championships shows

Ch Asryn Forever Devine (Tessa) took out RUNNER UP BEST IN SHOW (Best In Show 2nd) and on 5th December 2020 and the day after her litter brother Ch Asryn Technical Knockout (Tyson) went one better taking out BEST IN SHOW.

Like everyone around the world we have been in lockdown, keeping everyone safe by staying home but missing the dog show and sled dog racing circuit madly. To help us all stay sane, and keep our huskies minds occupied this winter, the Siberian Husky Club Of Victoria (of which Karen is a committee member) is excited to launch it's newest event online - Iron Paws Down Under the inaugural Australian Chapter of the popular virtual stage race which originated in North America.

A big thank-you to the creators of the original IronPaws for sharing their platform with us - which is a massive success in North America, with over 400 participantssharing their season with each other and enjoying the supportive and fun community of dog sports! Looking forward to sharing in this winters adventures with you all! This event is suitable for everyone to join in, whether you have one dog and you are walking on foot, or larger teams on sled or cart - and everything in between! So, if you are looking for a winter activity to keep you and your bff (best furry friends) happy and busy and want to be part of a positive and supportive online mushing community, Iron Paws is for you! There is even a category for old dogs that still want to play but can’t run with the team anymore due to age or health concerns.
